O passaporte cultural do Rio é um caderninho com uma lista de parceiros que servirá como entrada e cupom de desconto em diversas atrações culturais pela cidade durante as Olimpíadas e Paralimpíadas Rio 2016. Estão nele todos os museus, bibliotecas, alguns teatros e o site ainda mostra 10% de desconto nas principais livrarias, desconto na entrada do Lapa 40º e outros bares, metrô aos finais de semana e por aí vai.
Para ter o passaporte é bem simples, é só se cadastrar no site e escolher lá mesmo a forma de retirada. Pode ser pelos correios (taxa de R$20,00) ou em um ponto de retirada na Cinelândia ou na Alvorada até setembro. Fui lá pegar e correu tudo bem. Tinha fila, mas pouca, recomendo ir logo antes que fique mais conhecido e todo mundo resolva fazer e retirar no mesmo momento. Ah, é pessoal e intransferível, eles imprimem na hora uma etiqueta com todos os seus dados, não pode retirar pra outra pessoa também. Lembrem-se de fazer o cadastro antes, eles não realizam lá na hora.
Para os CEPs do Rio de Janeiro, o passaporte é gratuito. Para turistas, custa R$15,00.
Horário de funcionamento dos postos de retirada: de terça a sexta das 10h às 18h / sábado de 10h às 14h

Rio Cultural Passport is a booklet that will provide free or discounted entry to a lot of cultural attractions in Rio de Janeiro during the Olympics and Paralympic games of 2016. It includes museums, theaters, libraries and if you check the website, you will see a list of bookstores (a perfect opportunity to buy a book abour Rio as a souvenir, I highly recommend a visit to Livraria Cultura), bars, concerts of Brazilian artists and even subway tickets.
In order to have your cultural passport, you just have to register on the site (english version as well) and request it, the charge for tourists is R$15, something around U$4 or €3. Pretty simple. There will be two options on the website: to get the booklet by mail, but I really do not know how this will work with foreign addresses, or to go and get it directly in one of the collection points. One of them is located in Barra da Tijuca and the other one in Cinelândia (in center of the city). When got mine there was just a small line, but I really think that when it becomes more known, will be worst. The passport is personal and nontransferable so unfortunately you can not ask your friend that live in Rio to get it for you :(.
Be sure you have registered on the site before going there. They will ask your ID/passport number to check if it is in the system.
Collection points’ opening hours: Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 6pm/ Saturday from 10am to 2pm. Closed on Sundays.
